Many students struggle with their current job or position. And as a result, an unsatisfying environment leads to delivering a lack of performance.

As an international student, it happens often. Especially when you are working on campus (maybe not, if you have a great job!)

Today, my boss's boss told me he is going to keep me as long as possible.

I was flattered. It is a great indicator of your performance when you hear from the boss asking you to stay with them.

Do you want to be recognized as a value to any organization? I will leave 5 tips to you.

  • Remember, YOU are what you do

  • Do not limit yourself to your job description

  • Do not stop learning

  • Do not hide your skills

  • Do not hide your experience

My job description for the on-campus job is a simple and very entry-level job. However, I am doing much more than the job description. Since the job interview, I have appealed to myself and what I could do to improve the organization's performance, including negotiating the wage.

As a result, I build visual analysis reports for their yearly reports for the entire world service. They hired me with more responsibility and more money. And they want to keep me working for them.

It is uncommon for an intern to demand more responsibility and more money. But, if you prove your value, you can make a change.
